Mood and Emotion Dysregulation
Understanding Emotional Distress
Anxiety, depression, and emotional instability aren’t signs that something is wrong with you—they’re often signs that you’ve been carrying too much for too long. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by panic, stuck in hopelessness, or exhausted by intense emotional ups and downs, you may just want to feel like yourself again—or maybe meet that version of yourself for the first time. These experiences can affect every part of your life: relationships, work, self-worth, even your basic ability to rest or enjoy the present moment.
Therapy that Balances Insight and Skills
I work with people navigating a range of mood-related concerns, including generalized anxiety, depression, bipolar spectrum symptoms, and emotion dysregulation related to trauma or early attachment wounds. Depending on your needs, I integrate insight-oriented therapy with evidence-based tools from DBT, CBT, and mindfulness-based approaches to help you understand what’s underneath your symptoms—and build the skills to shift them. Our work might include learning how to self-soothe, building emotional language, interrupting spirals of self-criticism, or reconnecting with meaningful routines and goals.

You Deserve Stability and Self-Compassion
Emotional intensity doesn’t make you “too much.” Feeling stuck doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Therapy can help you feel more grounded and in control—not by shutting down emotions, but by building the capacity to move through them with greater understanding and compassion.
Together, we can create space for relief, clarity, and lasting change.
