RELATIONAL AND IDENTITY CONCERNS

Why Relationships Matter

Our earliest experiences of connection shape the way we understand ourselves and relate to others. If you’ve grown up with inconsistent caregiving, trauma, or invalidation, it makes sense that trust, intimacy, or boundaries might feel complicated. Maybe you find yourself in repeated patterns—feeling disconnected, overly responsible, anxious in closeness, or unsure of your worth in relationships.

Therapy can offer a new kind of relational experience—one grounded in honesty, safety, and mutual respect.

Navigating Identity and Belonging

Your identity—how you move through the world in terms of race, gender, sexuality, body, and culture—deeply affects your mental health. You might be exploring how to live more authentically, confronting internalized shame or marginalization, or coping with the pain of not feeling seen or accepted in your communities or relationships.

I provide LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally aware care and understand the importance of holding your full identity in the room. This includes working with those who feel caught between cultures, those exploring gender or sexuality, or those seeking a deeper sense of belonging in their relationships and within themselves.

Building Safer, More Satisfying Relationships

Together, we can explore how your past experiences may be impacting your present relationships—and work to create new patterns grounded in clarity, connection, and self-respect. Whether you're healing from family trauma, navigating intimacy, or just trying to communicate your needs more clearly, therapy can help you move toward more satisfying and secure relationships, both with others and with yourself.
